He puts it in the ditch before it breaks down. Or he gets pulled over for driving studded tires.

What snow its freaking 40 Degrees out. I expect to see him broken down somewhere in the MA/NH border area.

Well, I spent almost my entire driving life in Atlanta, Georgia. No snow, never even considered snow tires. There ya go.

PIE
I guess that kind of explains it. but when you were working for porsche, they didnt send you to butt-fuck cold-as-ass no where to do some tests or something? or setting up winter tire packages for some place further north?

4/10 it breakes down, don’t understand the choice of studded tires other than they are free. Doug is going to love the clackity noise on dry roads.

It’ll be fine, but I bet he’ll get a flat tire after 30 miles and have to be towed somewhere.

Studded tires are legal in winter months here in Ohio, I would think most northern states would be the same.

You would be wrong. Illegal in Michigan and according to the article, Pennsylvania, New York, and Vermont all have them banned during parts of the year or the entire year.

Michigan allows rubber studs. Pennsyltucky and NY allow in winter months, VT allows. Where am I wrong again?

I misread Doug’s article. Apparently I’m illiterate and don’t know the difference between legal and illegal. I thought he said PA, NY and VT were illegal. You are right. I was wondering why that didn’t make any sense.

No but that would’ve been awesome!!

Some important info in regards to the service that the Aston will likely need: If he takes Rt 95 through Jersey to the NY Thruway (RT 87) on his way north, he will pass the last Aston dealer (Off Rt 78 in Summit NJ) at 8 AM tomorrow morning. The next dealer on his route is...well, there isn’t one. The next one is in Montreal.

I’m taking the winning bet. He will not run into any trip-killing problems.

Agreed.
